Andre Gilbert II

Andre Gilbert II is a native Detroiter who has been dedicated to serving the City of Detroit for nearly a decade. After graduating from Mumford High School, Andre attended Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama only to return to Detroit for an opportunity to work in the Office of the City Clerk. He has served in various capacities within the Clerk’s Office, most recently being appointed to Deputy City Clerk.
Andre is a graduate of Leadership Detroit Class XL. His passion for bringing information and knowledge to city residents extends beyond his professional role. For the past three years, Andre has served as an Executive Team Member with Detroit Young Professionals’ Community Outreach Committee where he has helped engage young professionals in community service, professional development, and networking opportunities throughout Metro Detroit. Andre is committed to connecting Detroiters with information and resources to be able to navigate and understand city government and become better-informed, engaged citizens.
