Pancakes & Politics is Back!

The live, in-person series is back for 2023 stronger than ever and the first full in-person program season is returning to the Detroit Athletic Club. Join us for an in-depth conversation about strategies that can be adopted to move Michigan’s economy forward through Job Creation, Education, Healthcare, Workforce Development, and more. We will also discuss the role Detroit should play in the plan.

Now starting its 18th year, Pancakes & Politics has become a time-honored event and has hosted several big names including former Detroit Mayor Dave Bing, Chairman and CEO of Quicken Loans Dan Gilbert, Jennifer Granholm former Detroit mayor, and current Mayor Mike Duggan. Originally introduced in 2006, Pancakes & Politics has continued to be a staple for the Black community providing a platform for changemakers, influencers and government leaders to voice community concerns, share solutions and bring about change regionally.

About Pancakes & Politics

Pancakes and Politics was born from the desire to do more than just inform Detroiters on the policies that affect our communities but to create a seat at the table. Since 2006, Pancakes and Politics has driven the dialogue between community, business, education, and political leaders.

True to its purpose, the breakfast forum works to resonate with and represent the Black community in Detroit by highlighting matters that impact Detroiters of all ages.
