The 2026 Dearborn Homecoming Festival brought a lively burst of energy to Ford Field Park this past weekend, as thousands of Metro Detroit residents and visitors gathered for a weekend filled with community, entertainment, food and summer fun. Families, friends and festivalgoers from throughout the region filled the grounds, creating an electric atmosphere as they moved between activities, vendor booths, food trucks and performance stages. Now in its 45th year, the annual celebration ran Aug. 7-9. Festival admission was free for anyone to attend, while carnival armbands were available for purchase for those looking to enjoy the rides.
Vendor Village added to the excitement, with local businesses, artisans and community organizations displaying a wide variety of products, merchandise and services. Food trucks and other food vendors were busy throughout the weekend, giving attendees plenty of choices as they enjoyed everything from festival favorites to specialty offerings. The combination of shopping, food, carnival rides and family activities helped create the unmistakable community spirit that has made Homecoming a signature Dearborn tradition.
Live music and performances were at the heart of the weekend, drawing crowds to the stages throughout the day and into the evening. Saturday night’s headliner, country music star Martina McBride, delivered a highly anticipated performance before the night concluded with a spectacular fireworks display.
On Sunday, performances included local Detroit twin sister duo Inah and Yahzi of the girl band ‘Aint Afraid’, as well as Curtis Roach, a Detroit born and raised Rapper and Content Creator. The heat, along with a brief period of rain, did little to dampen the enthusiasm of festivalgoers, many of whom remained in place to await Sunday night’s headliner, Chance the Rapper. After about an hour of drizzle in the late evening, the rain clouds pushed out of the area just as Chance the Rapper took the stage around 9:10 p.m., allowing the crowd to enjoy his performance before another spectacular fireworks show brought the 2026 Homecoming Festival to a memorable close.
