Detroit’s wellness community will gather once again this summer as Healed Black Women brings back Rhythmic Reflections, the nonprofit’s immersive wellness festival centered on healing, creativity and community connection.
The annual event returns Saturday, July 18, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at SAY Detroit Play Center. This year’s theme, “Unmuted,” focuses on emotional release and no longer suffering in silence, inviting attendees into a space designed for reflection, restoration and shared healing.
Hosted by Detroit nonprofit Healed Black Women, Rhythmic Reflections blends live music, sound healing, storytelling, movement, wellness experiences and interactive activations aimed at helping people reconnect with themselves and one another in meaningful ways.
Founded by Jazzmin Pitts, Healed Black Women created the festival as part of its broader mission to support emotional wellness and self-awareness through community-centered programming. Organizers say the experience was built on the belief that healing should not only happen privately, but should also be visible, accessible and felt collectively.
Last year’s festival welcomed more than 70 attendees and earned the Spirit of Detroit Award, recognizing the growing demand for wellness-centered events in the city. This year’s event aims to continue building on that momentum with an evening focused on creativity, emotional wellness and connection.
Rhythmic Reflections will take place at SAY Detroit Play Center, located at 19320 Van Dyke. Early bird tickets are currently available through Eventbrite.
