Chef Topey’s life long dream was to open a Caribbean American Restaurant in Detroit, Michigan.
After 30 years of being a chef in restaurants from five-star to local diners, his dream has come true. Topey’s Kitchen is celebrating their Grand Opening event on Friday, July 30, from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. The ribbon-cutting ceremony is at 2 pm. Community leaders are invited to participate in this ceremony.
Topey’s Kitchen, a family-owned restaurant, is located at 14621 Fenkell Ave., Detroit, MI. The Detroit community is invited to come to the grand opening event to taste some of the menu favorites and enjoy the live band ‘Universal Expressions,’ a local Caribbean band with island vibes.
Topey’s Kitchen serves Caribbean and American Soul Food dishes that will tantalize your tastebuds with their exquisite blend of exotic herbs and spices. Chef Topey’s love for cooking is evident in every savory bite of the food he prepares! He and his family are 19 year homeowners in the same Detroit neighborhood that he opened his restaurant.
