One of the greatest bandleaders, hit-makers, influential pop artists of our time, with over 40 R&B hit singles, Mr. George Clinton of Parliament – Funkadelic, shares his life through his newly released book Brothas be, Yo like George, Ain’t that Funkin Kinda Hard on You? Spend time with Mr. P-Funk himself, George Clinton, on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 7pm to 10pm at The Historical United Sound Systems Recording Studios located at 5840 Second Avenue in Detroit.
USSRS is where his great hits “Flashlight”, “Atomic Dog”, and “One Nation Under A Groove”, were recorded. Mr. Clinton will also donate a vintage 1920 Chickering Piano that was restored on the History Channel’s, “American Restoration”, program which aired June 2, 2014, to USSRS for display.
Admission is only $40 and along with that you’ll receive a copy of Clinton’s book as well as enjoy the festivities.
