The automotive industry is a continual legacy in Detroit.
TI Fluid Systems PLC has close to 100 years of automotive fluid systems experience. Headquartered in the United Kingdom with the corporate offices in Auburn Hills, the corporation will now welcome a new CEO to lead the organization into the future.
Originally founded under the name Harry Bundy and Company in 1922, Harry Warren Bundy founded the company in the heart of the Motor City; Detroit. The company has historic roots even providing unfabricated gas lines on the Model T during its early days.
Joining Michigan in 2016, TI Automotive opened its corporate offices and continues to make its mark on the global industry. With manufacturing facilities in 107 locations across 28 countries, TI Fluid Systems PLC has recently announced a few updates to three executive level positions within their organization.
William L. Kozyra, who is the company’s current President and Chief Executive Officer, will retire from the position and will also step down from his role on the Board of Directors later this year. Taking over as the CEO and President is Hans Dieltjens. Having 25 years of automotive experience, Dieltjens work spans Asia, Europe and the Americas. Serving as the leader of the Global Fuel Tank and Delivery Systems Division, Dieltjens led the charge in developing and manufacturing products that helped improve vehicle performance as well as limiting harmful emissions to the environment. The exchange in power for TI Fluid Systems PLC will be effective as of October 1, 2021.
TI Fluid Systems PLC was not finished announcing its new leadership roles. Announcing an expansion to its Executive Committee, the company has also appointed Stephanie Jett as Chief Commercial Officer. Also effective October 1, Jett will find a new home at the corporation’s headquarters in Auburn Hills. Holding several senior level commercial roles over her 20 years of automotive experience, Jett will now be responsible for TI Fluid Systems PLC’s sales and commercial activities. This will include honing in on the company’s electric vehicle product portfolio.
Also joining the Auburn Hills headquarters is Mark Sullivan, who will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer. Though officially joining earlier this year, Sullivan is welcomed with his more than 35 years in the automotive industry. During his career, he has lived and worked in not only the United States, but France and Germany. With this global experience, Sullivan brings a diverse international experience mixed with a strong operational focus that can support long term business strategies.
The company also welcomes Johannes Helmich, who took over as the Chief Technology Officer in September.
“We welcome Stephanie, Johannes and Mark to the team and extend our warmest congratulations to Hans on his promotion to Chief Executive Officer at such an exciting time in our industry,” says Manfred Wennemer, Chair of the Board of Directors. “These important additions to our executive team will further strengthen the Company’s ability to execute our electric vehicle strategy, while also enabling us to deliver on our near-term objectives.” Manfred continued, “On behalf of the Board of Directors, I wish Bill Kozyra the very best for his retirement and thank him for his more than 13 years of exemplary service to the Company. As well as leading the Company through the global financial crisis into a decade of record performance, Bill was instrumental in developing our electric vehicle strategy. Bill, who will remain connected to the Company in an advisory capacity until the end of the year, has brought TI Fluid Systems to a strong position to continue delivering innovative technology to our automotive customer base, and we are excited for what is to come.”
TI Fluid Systems PLC has an expansive customer base that includes luxury brands such as Audi, Land Rover, Bentley, Porsche and others. The company also services The Big Three.
