Primary Election Day 2020: Vote Today—Here’s How

Today is Primary Election Day in Michigan and unlike years passed the presence of the COVID-19 pandemic has changed how you may vote but not your right and duty to vote! Here’s what you need to know:

Polls are open: Polls will be open for voters on August 4 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for all polling locations. Facemasks are not required but highly encouraged.

Absentee Voting: In Michigan, you can now vote through an absentee ballot, however, the ballot must be mailed within enough time to be received by 8 p.m. on August 4th. If you have not mailed your ballot you can also return it by dropping it off at your local clerk’s office or dropbox (if available) by 8 p.m. on August 4, no postage is required.

Same-day Voter Registration: Michigan has same-day voter registration. Visit your local clerk’s office to register.
