Funnyman Dave Chappelle will be in the Motor City for a four-show series in over a week for part of The Fillmore’s first events since the start of the pandemic, FOX 2 reported.

Chappelle’s comedy acts will be for sale starting today.

Chappelle, known for his raw humor and culturally relevant comedy, will be in rare form on the tour — but in his natural element nonetheless– as he doesn’t always tour, according to the article.

In the past, Chapelle drew criticism for one of his shows Untitled: Dave Chappelle Documentary (which premiered in New York in June) when he required his guests to be fully vaccinated. At his upcoming shows in Detroit, attendees must only arrive early to take a COVID-19 test before entering The Fillmore.

Ticket sales for Chappelle’s show are available on Ticketmaster at noon today Monday. Chappelle will be performing:

  • Twice on Tuesday, August 10
  • Wednesday, August 11
  • Thursday, August 12
