Jessie Hayes has created a name for herself in the beauty industry by taking her passion for skincare and founded the first facial bar and acne clinic in Metro Detroit. Skinphorea is the new concept facial bar for the person on the go that has no time to disrobe and can get professional skin care services for $59 with no appointment needed. Skinphorea has over five thousand clients, 200 monthly VIP’s and a wait list for their popular 90-day acne bootcamp.
Hayes partnered with the State for Skinphorea to become an apprenticeship program. Students are trained and in order to receive their esthetic license and offered full time positions at Skinphorea. Since opening, Hayes has provided jobs and onsite training to over 35 metro Detroiters and will be providing 22 additional jobs for the city within this upcoming year.
Hayes is a Goldman Sachs Alumni; voted class speaker for Cohort 13, Build Institute Alumni and served as a speaker at Detroit Startup Week on “How to pitch your business”. Hayes has been featured in Black Enterprise, Rolling Out Magazine and DBusiness Magazine.
