Calluses may come with the territory, but one Detroit fitness brand says women shouldn’t have to choose between lifting heavy and caring for their hands.
Quad Gods Athletics is launching Grip Goddess™, a hand-recovery cream created specifically for women who lift. The cream is designed to restore moisture and soothe skin affected by chalk, friction and heavy training, helping hands recover between workouts.
William “McCrayzy” McCray, founder of Quad Gods Athletics and McCrayzy Training, created the product. With nearly two decades in the fitness industry, McCray said the idea came from seeing how much wear serious training can put on women’s hands — an area of recovery that often gets overlooked.
“Women work hard for their strength, and their hands show it,” McCray said in the release. “I wanted to create something that allows women to care for their hands without sacrificing the strength and performance they’ve worked so hard to build.”
Grip Goddess™ fits into the brand’s larger message that strength and self-care can exist side by side. Whether it’s deadlifts, pull-ups or chasing a new personal record, the product is aimed at women who want to train hard while still giving their skin a little recovery, too.
Grip Goddess™ will be available beginning Aug. 20 for $28 at quadgodsathletics.com.
