Global marketing agency VMLY&R to move to Downtown Detroit in 2020

Global marketing-communications company VMLY&R is transitioning to new beginnings starting in 2020.

VMLY&R will be moving into the Marquette Building in Downtown Detroit. Like it’s parent company, WPP, this move will benefit the company’s primary client, Ford, and facilitate a greater need for creativity and innovation. Networking, customer interactions, and strategic decision-making will also increase once the move is solidified. VMLY&R Detroit CEO Tim Reisen believes this move will impact the company on a grand scale.

“I couldn’t be more pleased about opening our doors in Detroit, a city rich in culture, grit, and optimism that’s poised to transform mobility,” Reisen said. “This new location enables us to bring together diverse talent and skillsets to deepen the value we provide to our client partners, as well as build new relationships and opportunities.”

Other companies under the VMLY&R umbrella include Dell, Colgate-Palmolive, New Balance and many more. VMLY&R CEO John Cook said that Detroit is a buzzing market which makes it the perfect place to grow internally and externally.

“We’ve brought together an incredible group of multi-disciplined, talented VMLY&R team members, along with new Detroit and worldwide talent, creating a balance of insight and experience needed to hit the ground running here,” said VMLY&R Global CEO Jon Cook. “Solidifying our Detroit footprint enables us to further integrate with our incredible client partners. It is the ideal location to enhance our rapidly growing global brand and customer experience practice.”
