Fifth Third Bank helping small business owners through seminar

Fifth-Third-07-30-2013-2-FultonFifth Third Bank, The Detroit Economic Growth Corporation (DEGC) and the Small Business Development Center are hosting a “Know Your Number” seminar designed to help entrepreneurs better understand their financial statements.
The purpose of the seminar is to help small businesses and owners in Detroit more effectively run their operations and make better business decisions.
“Know Your Numbers,” the seminar’s topics include:

  • Identify opportunities and challenges with your balance sheet and income
  • statement
  • Discuss the proven ways to increase your company’s cash flow
  • Apply breakeven analysis to improve decision making
  • Understand and plan the working capital to support your growth
  • Strengthen the partnership with your lender

The seminar will take place on Thursday, September 24 from 8:30 a.m. – Noon at the Northwest Activities Center located at 18100 Meyers Road in Detroit.
It is being held in collaboration with the DEGC’s D2D initiative that encourages Detroit companies to buy goods and services from each other. This session is the eighth of a year-long series.
The series is free for Fifth Third Bank customers. The DEGC’s D2D participants and military veterans should call 734-487-0355 for no cost registration.
The seminar is  $25 for others interested and includes workbook.
