In 2017, Darryl and his brother took a leap of faith and launched Mature; a menswear clothing store for individuals who pursue a balanced wardrobe for an elevated lifestyle. Their online-based store has participated in many pop-up shops across the metro Detroit area and finished in the Top 10 of Hatch Detroit and a winner of the Retail Bootcamp Pitch Contest. Their unique brand message and concept has created the anticipation for the launch of their first flagship store in Detroit this upcoming winter (maturelook.com).
Darryl learned the value of mentorship as a student of Detroit’s Paul Robeson Academy and has been a mentor for the past six years.
