Well-known actor Michael Jai White was among the latest to be personally impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic recently, Black Enterprise reported.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, the Spawn actor said in an online interview that his oldest son died from the coronavirus only “a few months ago.”

The death of his 38-year-old son, who he didn’t reveal by name, died shortly after catching the coronavirus, according to the article. He said that his son was involved in street life, and that he believes that this caused him to be exposed more easily to COVID-19, plus other things.

“He was in the hospital for a while, so it wasn’t immediate. Unfortunately, he was still kinda out there in the streets hustling, wasn’t doing well, started getting on substances,” White said in the interview. “He’d come out, go back in, all that type of stuff.”

White said that his son had six children, and he was already a great-grandfather.
