Suspect Arraigned On Attempted Murder Charges

Brandon Turner, 25 of Detroit was arraigned in court today on charges relating to a shooting this past weekend that injured six people.

According to investigators, Turner was involved in an altercation with several males during a party that took place at a house located on the 15700 block of Greenlawn.

Witnesses state that after the fight Turner left but returned moments later and allegedly fired several shots into a crowd. Five males ranging between the ages of 17 and 23 and one 26-year-old female were among the injured.

After a thorough investigation, police made contact with Turner via telephone on Sunday and convinced him to turn himself into Detroit police where he was placed into custody.

According to the report, he was charged with six counts of assault with intent to murder, six counts of assault with intent to commit great bodily harm, six counts of felonious assault, one count of felony firearm, one count of felony in possession and a habitual 4th offense.

This is Turner’s second felony firearm.

His bond was set for $5 million cash and he is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary examination Oct. 4 at 9 a.m.
