Southwest Solutions Celebrates 50 Years of Community Impact

Southwest Solutions will host its annual Celebration of Impact fundraiser at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10 at the MGM Grand located at 1777 Third Street in Detroit. The event will commemorate 50 years of improving lives and neighborhoods southwest Detroit.

 

Celebration of Impact will honor Southwest Solutions’ mission of service and the importance of philanthropy by celebrating select community members with Clement Kern Awards for Social Impact. The 2022 Honorees of Impact include:

 

  • Dan Gilbert, businessman known for his work as an investor and philanthropist to help grow local neighborhoods;
  • Debbie Stabenow, U.S. senator acknowledged for her more than 20 years of service to Michigan residents; and
  • William Moldwin, one of the founders of Southwest Solutions recognized for his commitment to local families.

 

“It truly takes a village to serve our community,” said Sean de Four, president & CEO of Southwest Solutions. “For more than 50 years, Southwest Solutions has remained focused on improving equity in health, housing and wealth for individuals and families in Detroit. We’re honored to once again gather as a community to celebrate this milestone anniversary along with some of the special people who help move Detroit forward.”

Tickets are $300 and include dinner, entry to the after-party and the opportunity to bid on exclusive items in an auction benefiting Southwest Solutions. The fundraiser will also feature event emcee, Huel Perkins.
