Hard Rock Cafe Detroit is ringing in 2015 with a New Year’s Eve gala featuring a projection-mapped 3-D animated midnight spectacular that will unfold on two stories of the front of the Compuware Building. On Wednesday, December 31, Hard Rock Cafe Detroit and Compuware Atrium will transform into a New Year’s Eve gala complete with food stations, multiple bars, midnight champagne toast and two of Metro Detroit’s most prominent DJs, Whip and Joey A.
Hard Rock Cafe Detroit has teamed up with Basement Beats to recruit emerging digital artists, NewD Media, comprised of Detroit Natives, Gabriel Hall and Daniel Land, to develop an original projection-mapped 3-D animated show. NewD Media has designed/managed multiple stages at Detroit’s Electronic Movement Festival, an installation at Electric Forest Festival and has created custom projection mapping for events in Miami, Chicago, New York City and Los Angeles. NewD Media is also responsible for integrating major brands leading events including the World Series.
Tickets to NYE: Rockin the D currently is on sale at www.nyerockinthed.com. Tickets range from the following: A limited amount of VIP Cabanas that will accommodate ten guests, complete with private area, tableside service complete with bottle service, appetizers and desserts. The VIP Cabanas are $1700 a piece. For $500 parties of four will receive guaranteed seating all evening, table side service and access to the food stations. General admission to the event is $85, which includes access to food stations, five drink tickets, and prime view to themidnight spectacular. Complimentary parking available for all ticket holders. 21 and up are welcome.
“My goal is to continue to grow this event aesthetically and from an experiential standpoint,” Mary Courie, Marketing and Sales Manager of Hard Rock Cafe Detroit stated. “New Year’s Eve has to make a statement, after all it’s the beginning of new possibilities.”
