Jason Ferguson, nose tackle for the Miami Dolphins, was suspended his first eight games of the season after violating the NFL’s performance-enhancement drug policy, according to ajc.com.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello confirmed their disciplinary action against him but could not comment on the type of drug found in his system.

This is not Ferguson’s first time violating the NFL substance policy. He was suspended in 1999 when anabolic steroids were found in his urine test.

In 1997, Ferguson tested positive for marijuana at the National Invitational Camp, where NFL coaches, general managers and scouts evaluate individual performances prior to the NFL draft.
