Black Leaders Detroit will present More Money. More Impact., a two-day funding conference designed to help Detroit entrepreneurs, nonprofit executives, founders and community leaders strengthen their fundraising strategies and prepare to secure funding in 2027.
The conference will take place November 3-4, 2026, from 8 a.m.–3 p.m. at Developing Kids – 24230 W McNichols Rd, Detroit, MI 48219. One ticket includes admission on both days, along with breakfast and lunch.
“Detroit is filled with talented founders and nonprofit leaders who have strong ideas and a clear vision for their communities, but many still lack access to the funding relationships and information they need to grow,” said Dwan Dandridge, CEO of Black Leaders Detroit. “More Money. More Impact. is about bringing those leaders into the same room with experts and funders who can help them understand the process, strengthen their strategy and position their organizations for future opportunities.”
More Money. More Impact. will give attendees an opportunity to learn directly from industry experts, engage with funders and gain practical knowledge about securing grants and building support from corporations and government entities.

Black Leaders Detroit has helped Detroit entrepreneurs secure more than $8 million in funding. The organization created the conference to make the knowledge, relationships and strategies behind that success more accessible to local leaders working to grow their businesses, organizations and community impact.
“If you are serious about getting funded in 2027, this is the room you want to be in,” Dandridge said. “Even one session or one new relationship could change the direction of an organization’s funding strategy.”
Conference highlights will include:
· High impact speakers with fundraising and funding expertise
· Interactive educational sessions
· Direct access to funders and decisionmakers
· Strategies for developing competitive grant applications
· Guidance on securing corporate and government support
· Networking opportunities designed to build meaningful relationships
· Grant giveaways during the event
Attendees will also learn how to present their organizations more effectively, demonstrate measurable impact and develop funding strategies that align with their long-term goals.
