Michigan Chronicle hosted its annual client appreciation reception on Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Detroit Athletic Club. It was great time to reflect on the past year and celebrate all that the Chronicle has been able to accomplish thanks largely to the support of its sponsors.
From the four Pancakes & Politics forums to the Men and Women of Excellence awards and the Legacy in Motion gala, the reception was newspaper’s way of thanking sponsors and advertisers for their ongoing support.
Over 50 clients and partners were present for the special event. Top supporters include General Motors, Starr Commonwealth, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Comerica, Fifth Third bank, the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, Professional Medical Centers, and Detroit Medical Center.
There was a testimonial from Ric DeVore, president of PNC Bank, who committed to being the presenting sponsor for the 2015 Pancakes & Politics speakers series. Board members of Michigan Chronicle parent company, Real Times Media, Gordon Follmer, Alex Parrish and O’Neil Swanson, also came to show their support.
The year-in-review showcased the success of the various events. This year, the Michigan Chronicle hosted top decision makers at the Pancakes & Politics forums, honored more than 200 of this region’s most accomplished and influential professionals via its awards programs, presented noted political analyst Donna Brazile as keynote for the Women of Excellence Awards, and recognized Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Roy Roberts with Lifetime Achievement awards.
The Michigan Chronicle looks forward to continuing its mission of serving and uplifting the community in 2015.
