Basketball legend and business baron Earvin “Magic” Johnson will lead at a Town Hall Meeting on economic development during the 2014 National Black MBA Conference on Thursday afternoon at the Georgia World Congress Center in downtown Atlanta.

Johnson, a first-ballot NBA Hall of Famer who transformed himself into a universally-respected business impresario, will join Jesse J. Tyson, President & CEO of the NBMBAA; Rich Foster, the VP of Brand Management at Nationwide; and John Williams, the Controller of Target Reporting at Chrysler Group LLC, at the annual Town Hall Luncheon during the 36th Annual NBMBAA® Conference & Exposition.

The town hall luncheon will take place on  Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 2:20 p.m.

Johnson, who runs a conglomerate at Magic Johnson Enterprises that included the likes of Magic Johnson Theaters, TGIF restaurants, vast real estate holdings and ownership of the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparx, Major League Baseball’s Los Angeles Dodgers, the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers and Starbucks (although he sold his shares in the latter two) is being asked to share insight on the art of leadership  — and what was on his palette and what tools he used to create his own masterpiece.

Doors will open for the National Black MBA’s Annual Town Hall Meeting at the Georgia World Congress Center beginning at 2:10 p.m.

The National Black MBA Conference and Exposition will take place from Thursday, Sept. 18 through Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014
