“I’ll Get to It” Is the Most Expensive Plan There Is

Must read

Practically all of us have faced a task and said to ourselves, “I’ll get to it tomorrow.” Then tomorrow comes, and we put the task off again. Sometimes we eventually get it done. Other times, it remains unfinished for weeks or even months.

Procrastination is common, but it can also be expensive. Staying ahead of responsibilities—instead of constantly catching up—can save time, money and stress.

Let’s say your brakes are grinding and you realize you need new brake pads. Instead of getting them repaired right away, you decide you’ll “get to it tomorrow.” Tomorrow becomes four months later, and now, you need brake pads and rotors, causing the repair to increase in price significantly.

“I’ll get to it” can become costly when it comes to dental care, too. A small chip can eventually become a larger repair. Missing a dental appointment may mean what was once a small crack now requires a root canal.
