Jerry Lawrence Jr.

Jerry Lawrence is the Principal of University Prep Science & Math High School in Detroit, where he has spent the past decade advancing student achievement and strengthening school culture. Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, he began his career as a middle school English teacher in Baltimore City Public Schools. Jerry holds degrees from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and Grand Valley State University. Jerry is committed to building high-expectation, student-centered schools that prepare young people for success beyond high school.
