David Felton

David Felton is a dedicated law enforcement professional, community advocate, trainer, and public servant with more than 15 years of experience serving the citizens of Wayne County, Michigan. As a Sheriff’s Deputy with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, he has built a reputation for professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to strengthening relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

In addition to his law enforcement career, David has extensive experience as a facilitator, trainer, and mentor, delivering programs focused on leadership development, diversity and inclusion, conflict resolution, behavioral change, and personal growth. His passion for community engagement and public service has led him to work closely with residents, youth, faith-based organizations, and community leaders to promote safety, trust, and positive change.

David is also pursuing doctoral studies in business administration, with research focused on servant leadership and employee empowerment in law enforcement organizations. He is committed to advancing leadership practices that improve organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and community outcomes.

Through his professional and academic work, David strives to inspire others, foster meaningful connections, and exemplify servant leadership in every aspect of his life and career.

David has been married to Dana Felton for 34 years and they share three children, Kaylin, Miles and Christa. One granddaughter, Jayla.
