Do You Understand The Ballot Proposals?

DETROIT (WWJ) – With just two weeks to go before election day, many metro Detroiters are still fuzzy as to how they plan to vote.

People talking to WWJ Newsradio 950′s Ron Dewey Tuesday morning said the six ballot propositions in the November 6 election are riddled with confusing language.

One man said he’s not only sick and tired of all the misleading radio and TV ads, he’s disgusted by the entire process.

“I fundamentally have great difficulty with the popular vote as a way to change the constitution, so … I don’t think too much of them (the ballot proposals … A guy who’s a billionaire can basically buy an amendment to the constitution — I just find that repulsive.”

Here are what some other voters had to say:

“The thing about the unions, I don’t understand that one. The bridge, you know, I don’t understand that one.”

“I won’t say they’re all totally false, but, yeah, I’ll tell you a lot of them tend to be misleading.”

“I don’t know today that it means. I’m gonna have to do my homework before I go vote, because they way they word ‘em they got your all messed up. You vote yes you mean no; you vote no you mean yes!”
