Actress Vivica Fox keynotes CME Michigan Centennial Celebration

The Detroit and Mid-­Michigan Districts of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church will celebrate 100 years of service across the state of Michigan. Throughout the years, there are several organizations that fall-­‐flat of consistently serving their communities, continuing community rapport and looking outside of their church homes to serve their communities. The Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME) Church   has granted their forever support to many Detroit communities and has no plans on stopping.
The CME Michigan Centennial Celebration & Awards Gala will kick off the grand statewide recognition of 100 years of service, 6:00 p.m. (VIP Reception), 7:00 p.m. (Dinner and Awards Gala). Award-­‐winning Hollywood actress, producer, and businesswoman Vivica A. Fox will serve as the keynote speaker for this occasion. Fox will dedicate her efforts to becoming apart of Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME) Church’s undying mission and plans to inform and educate on the initiatives they have to offer and how to get involved.
The CME Michigan Centennial Celebration & Awards Gala will recognize community and church leaders, including:

  • PNC Bank and CFED who have partnered with them in a signature initiative to enroll parents and children in a savings program for college and vocational education
  • HonoraryChairpersons,retiredDetroitFireCommissionerHaroldWatkins,and theCMEChurchCollegeofBishops

Additionally, the celebrity host for the evening will be radio host and television personality, Willie Moore, Jr. The celebration and awards gala will also feature special guest performers, along with local and national community and church dignitaries. Reverend Tyson Kelley, a Pastor of a Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME) Church believes, “our communities need us more than ever right now and we are providing this event to emphasize what we can do together as one”.
 
This event will take place at Cobo Center, 1 Washington Blvd, Detroit. Tickets are $275 for VIP (includes VIP reception, valet parking and premium seating) or $200 (Dinner and Awards Gala). Proceeds benefit the community programs and ministries of the Detroit and Mid-­‐Michigan Districts.
