On Aug. 26, the Michigan Small Business Technical Development Center (MI-SBTDC), in partnership with the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) will be holding their Fiscal Fitness for the Growing Business at Fifth Third Bank at 1000 Town Center in Southfield.
The question I am asked most often these days is, as you might guess, “Is Fifth Third lending money?” The answer is an emphatic yes. Our bankers are out meeting with potential customers every day offering a full range of financial products, including loans. In the most recent reporting period Fifth Third Bank announced that it extended $6.1 billion in loans in the month of May.
Fifth Third Bank Eastern Michigan participated in the American Heart Association’s 2009 Start! Heart Walk. With the commitment and dedication of Diane Jackson, team captain, and with ten individual team captains recruiting their coworkers, family and friends to become walkers in an effort to raise donated funds, Fifth Third Bank raised a total of $13,551 in six weeks. After contributing a $5000 sponsorship, the bank’s grand total donation in 2009 is $18,551. This far exceeded last year’s fundraising talley of $12,341, conducted in better economic conditions and over a ten-week span.
