Carhartt has been a Detroit staple for many years. Established in 1889, Carhartt is a global premium workwear brand and has continued to be a force in the clothing industry. Recently, the brand announced two pivotal changes in upper management and is ready to launch the business into its next phase.

Carhartt has announced the appointment of Kerry Middlemas as Vice President of Business Planning. A member of the company since April 2022, Middlemas will report directly to Linda Hubbard, Carhartt’s President and Chief Operating Officer.

With extensive experience in planning and operations including demand planning, inventory management, supply planning, and customer service, in Middlemas’ role as Vice President of Business Planning will be responsible for delivering demand plans and inventory strategies across the global merchandise assortment and business unit segments. Leading three departments: Demand Planning (Indirect & Direct), Merchandise & Inventory Planning, and Planning Operations, Middlemas will work closely with key cross-functional business partners to define and execute short-and long-term operational and strategic goals.

“With an increased demand for our hardworking gear, it’s more important than ever that we ensure we have the inventory available to meet our consumers’ needs,” said Hubbard. “I’m pleased to welcome Kerry to our team and I’m excited about the valuable forecasting and planning contributions she will make to our organization as we lead Carhartt into the next frontier.”

In her craft, Middlemas most recently served as VP of Forecasting and Planning at Tupperware Brands. She also spent 17 years in leadership roles at VF Corporation, working with The North Face and Nautica, among others.

Additionally, Carhartt announced the appointment of Chad Cornstubble as Senior Vice President of Direct-to-Consumer. Also reporting directly to Linda Hubbard, Cornstubble joined the organization in May and will guide the organization and the D2C team to attract and engage new and existing Carhartt consumers online and in Carhartt’s own retail stores. Cornstubble will also work to develop strategies that will continue the momentum that the company is currently experiencing in the marketplace. Additionally, he will collaborate with the Wholesale, Carhartt EMEA, and Carhartt Company Gear business units to ensure there is an aligned consumer vision and approach to the marketplace.

As we continue our commitment to be the relentless champion of hardworking people, Chad will be instrumental in elevating our mission and delivering the ultimate Carhartt experience to our consumers,” said Hubbard. “I look forward to the contributions Chad will bring to the brand and our business as we navigate this ever-changing dynamic consumer marketplace.”

Cornstubble served as VP of E-commerce, Marketing Technology, and Digital Operations at Fossil Group just before joining Carhartt.

Carhartt continues to upgrade both its senior management and C-suite teams. These appointments come just shortly after the company announced its new Chief Information Officer, Katrina Agusti in April, following the departure of John Hill.

Headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan, Carhartt has approximately 5,400 employees worldwide. The brand is family-owned and managed by the descendants of the company’s founder, Hamilton Carhartt.
