Stefen J. Welch

Stefen J. Welch is a strategic, solutions-driven executive advancing corporate relations, diversity, equity and inclusion, and civic engagement. As Vice President of Public Affairs for the Detroit Pistons, he leads high-impact initiatives, including efforts to return a WNBA franchise to Detroit. He also played a key role in securing approval for the $3.5 billion Future of Health development, expanding access to housing, healthcare, and research. Welch holds degrees from Oakland University and the University of Detroit Mercy and completed executive studies at Howard University. He serves on multiple boards, including Oakland University, the Charles H. Wright Museum, and the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit. He lives in Detroit with his wife and daughters. What up doe!
