2021 Metro Detroit Heart Walk ‘Walk Wherever You Are’ on Saturday

With COVID-19 still keeping many Americans socially distant, and adhering to the new norms the American Heart Association—the leading voluntary health organization focused on heart and brain health for all—will host their annual Detroit Heart Walk online.  Kicking off at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, the Metro Detroit Heart Walk is a fun and meaningful way to celebrate heart and stroke survivors, raise lifesaving funds and encourage physical activity.

This year’s Heart Walk is co-chaired by top leaders in Michigan’s healthcare: Robin Damschroder, EVP & CFO of Henry Ford Health Systems, Margaret Anderson, SVP, and chief sales and marketing officer for Health Alliance Plan, and Rob Brook, MD professor of medicine for Wayne Health.

During the one-hour kickoff event we will honor survivors, recognize local heroes, enjoy local entertainment, and celebrate the lifesaving impact of the American Heart Association here in Southeastern Michigan.
