It’s Black History Month and while celebrating the progress of Black people, it’s time to also honor the greats and everyday legends through music.
Now exclusively streaming on Youtube, newly-launched a series of programmed playlists in the YouTube Music app themed around expressions of the Black experience is available for those looking to connect to their roots or simply enjoy the sounds.
Today, the platforms kicks off the series beginning with Lifting Voices…Strong, an uplifting selection of songs celebrating strong voices in Black culture and history.
Each week, Youtube will launch a new themed playlist, all of which will be housed on the Celebrating Black History Shelf on the Home tab of the YouTube Music app through the month of February.
