Stephanie Peoples

Stephanie Peoples, Chief Operating Officer of One Detroit Credit Union, is a dynamic leader whose career reflects a deep commitment to equity, excellence, and community centered financial services.

With more than 22 years of experience in banking and financial services, Stephanie has held senior leadership roles at one of the largest banks in the world, where she led district operations and advanced initiatives supporting entrepreneurs and small business owners. In these roles, she helped expand access to capital, strengthen business infrastructure, and deliver practical strategies for long-term growth all while building strong partnerships across communities throughout Michigan.

As Chief Operating Officer at One Detroit Credit Union, Stephanie oversees enterprise-wide operations with a focus on elevating the member experience, expanding business lending, modernizing systems, and developing products that directly reflect community needs. Her leadership is guided by five core principles: members, employees, processes, productivity, and sustainability.

Stephanie holds a master’s degree in computer information systems and a bachelor’s degree in psychology, equipping her with a rare ability to blend systems, thinking, operational discipline, and an authentic understanding of people. Known as a servant leader, she brings structure, clarity, and heart to everything she does.
