Nikole Howard-Whitsett

NiKole Howard-Whitsett has proudly served the City of Detroit since 2002 and, since 2016, has held the role of Treasurer for the City of Detroit’s Water and Sewer Department. A dedicated civic leader, she is an active member of the Detroit Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Motor City Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., where she supports numerous community service initiatives and has positively impacted hundreds of girls through mentorship.

NiKole currently serves as Treasurer for her sorority and Internal Auditor for Jack and Jill and previously served as Treasurer for the Michigan Chapter of the FAMU Alumni Association. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida A&M University and an MBA from Wayne State University.

NiKole and her husband, Maurice, are proud parents of five children: Jeremiah, Ethan, Nyla, Drew and Mia; and devoted members of LAM Christian Church for over 20 years.
