Lila Asante-Appiah

Lila Asante-Appiah has served as the Chief Administrative Officer at Downtown Detroit Partnership since 2022. She is a seasoned C-Suite executive recognized as a strategic business leader and change champion. Lila has over 25 years of experience and impactful leadership across various sectors including nonprofit, healthcare, higher education, apparel/promotional products, and business consulting.

Lila is also the President and Cofounder of Purposeful Pursuits, a professional coaching and consulting organization. She promotes cultivating relationships and partnerships to advance social service and community programs positioned to improve the lives of those served. As a mission focused organizational development expert, she is known for advancing organizational capacity building, and developing diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace cultures.

Lila received her undergraduate degree in business administration and her master’s degree in organizational development from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. As well, she Is a certified professional and executive coach.
