Katora Cole

Katora Cole is the Chief Philanthropy Officer of Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan. With more than 30 years of nonprofit leadership experience, she has served as Chief Development Officer for the Michigan Science Center, Orchards Children’s Services and The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW) as well as leadership roles at Wayne State University. 

Katora holds a BA in Psychology from Purdue University and an MA in Nonprofit Management, blending strategic expertise with a deep commitment to community impact. She was recently honored in The Soul of Philanthropy exhibit at the Detroit Historical Society for her contributions to Michigan’s philanthropic landscape. She serves as Vice President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals–Greater Detroit Chapter, on the Board of Orchards Children’s Services, and on the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s Classical Roots Steering Committee. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
