Julie Spencer Washington

Julie Spencer Washington serves as Trinity Health’s system-wide strategic leader for marketing, communications, customer experience, and philanthropy. She guides enterprise efforts to create and deliver an integrated and mission-driven care experience. Washington is a proven leader in strategy, marketing, crisis communication, change management and building high-performing teams aligned to organizational purpose. Under her leadership, Trinity Health has achieved historic philanthropic revenue, strengthened its storytelling and advanced meaningful improvements in patient experience built on trust and long-term loyalty.

She and her family are active philanthropic supporters of Michigan-based causes and global organizations. She is an executive coach, speaker and mentor who inspires others toward personal growth, purpose and advocating for the common good. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree, Master of Healthcare Leadership degree, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and Psychology. She received a Doctor of Human Letters: Honoris Causa from Union Institute & University.
