Joella Bush

JOELLA BUSH is the Executive Director of Gianna House. She leads transformative work for pregnant women and young mothers navigating homelessness and complex life challenges. A fearless and compassionate leader, Joella brings vision, strategy, and heart to everything she does.

Joella believes in the power of education through academic excellence. She holds a Master of Social Work (Wayne State University) and a Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in child welfare (Oakland University), as well as certifications in Nonprofit Management and Human Services Management.

With more than 30 years of nonprofit leadership experience, Joella has developed life-skills and career-exploration programs, cultivated community partnerships, and raised critical funding to serve women and children. As a former teen mother, Joella considers it one of God’s greatest blessings to walk alongside young women–teaching them the same values and resilience her mother instilled in her.
Joella leads with purpose, passion, and perseverance.
