Jazz Parks

Jazz Parks serves as Superintendent of Ann Arbor Public Schools, bringing over 25 years of educational leadership experience, including roles as assistant principal, principal, and central office administrator.

Committed to equitable educational access and student well-being, Jazz has earned state and national recognition for addressing students’ social-emotional and mental health needs. She has helped to develop statewide social and emotional learning networks and assisted with planning national cohorts. Jazz has served on multiple advisory councils and boards focused on domestic violence prevention, fine arts, educational leadership, and teacher preparation at both state and university levels.

Jazz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education, English, and Sociology from the University of Michigan and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Eastern Michigan University. She is certified through AASA and Howard University’s Urban Superintendents Academy.
