Capri Scott

Capri R. Scott is a lifelong Detroiter, educator and entrepreneur who has dedicated her career work to strengthening the academic foundation of Detroit children. As a graduate of Eastern Michigan College of Educations, Capri began her career as a first-grade educator with Detroit Public School Community District. After earning a master’s degree in Reading she served as a Reading Specialist and subsequently an English Language Consultant for the State of Michigan.

Through her experience, Capri recognized the urgent need for early learning support and founded Foundation First Childcare Development Center in 2021, during the height of the Covid 19 pandemic. Capri has embraced entrepreneurship and is currently in her fifth year of operations, with plans for expansion. Capri is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, married to Reginald B. Scott ll and proud mother of Alexander.
