Guests at the gala can look forward to dinner, dancing, a kids variety show, and a sweet treat extravaganza. Wigs 4 Kids is hosting a pre-gala raffle with a grand prize of $1,000 to be raffled off the night of the event. Pre-gala raffle tickets are being sold at $10 a ticket and only 500 tickets are available to purchase. The winner does not need to be present at the event to redeem the prize. All proceeds from the gala will go to the Wigs 4 Kids organization to support its mission.
Wigs 4 Kids provides wigs and support services to Michigan children experiencing hair loss as a result of cancer treatment, alopecia, trichotillomania and other disorders. The program is available to any child or teen from ages 3 to 18 at no cost to them or their families.
“Founded in 2003, Wigs 4 Kids has helped every child referred to us and has never turned a child away,” said Maggie Varney, Founder and CEO of Wigs 4 Kids.
“Wigs 4 Kids has serviced 37% more children this year than in 2012. The need for our support services has grown by 64% and the demand is still growing. The annual gala is our biggest fundraiser of the year and helps provide sustainability as we continue our mission of serving the children of Michigan.”
