Wayne County Women’s Commission Hosts Women’s Resource Fair On April 27

Experts have stated that health is holistic—and that includes ensuring people have sustainable jobs to help house themselves and access to healthcare services.

To that end, Wayne County is hosting a Women’s Resource Fair on Thursday, April 27, at the Denise Wellons-Glover Welcome Center at Wayne County Community College, Northwest Campus. The welcome center is located at 8200 Outer Drive and will take place from 10AM to 4PM.

Additional parking is available on Outer Drive between Faust and North Southfield Service Drive.

The Resource Fair will not only offer opportunities to connect with services such as the Detroit/Wayne Mental Health Authority, Wayne County Health Department and Detroit Health Department, but also employers such as Detroit at Work, State of Michigan Veterans and D7 Dearborn Heights School District. The Fair also offers resume-building assistance.

Registered attendees will receive a free lunch.

The Wayne County Women’s Commission was created by The Wayne County Commission in 2021. The purpose of the Women’s Commission is to make recommendations to the Wayne County Commissioners on the needs of the women of Wayne County.

The Women’s Resource Fair participants must purchase a FREE ticket on Eventbrite by clicking on “Register.
