“The Department of Health, Veterans and Community Wellness want every Wayne County community to be the healthiest it can be. Expanding and increasing access to our services produces better neighborhood wellness outcomes in the long term,” said Dr. Mouhanad Hammami, Director of the Department of Health, Veterans and Community Wellness.
Wayne County Executive Warren C. Evans said in his State of the County Address that one of his primary goals for 2016 is to increase access to health care for the citizens of Wayne County. The
Wellness@thecommunity pilot program helps to fulfill that goal by removing barriers to service with satellite locations where residents can receive a multiple services simultaneously.
