United Way for Southeastern Michigan is offering an opportunity to support their work in the community and experience the thrills of NASCAR behind the wheel. The more people choose to donate to help advance United Way’s mission, the more entries they receive – increasing their chances of winning the sweepstakes.
The grand prize package includes racing an actual stock car on the two-mile oval at Michigan International Speedway (MIS), four premium tickets to the Roush suite for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series event at MIS and signed Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing merchandise.
Across southeastern Michigan, nearly 40 percent of families struggle to meet their basic needs. United Way works to address this by mobilizing hundreds of partners and thousands of donors, advocates, and volunteers to build communities where households are more stable, and children have a chance to thrive and succeed.
“With so much need in the community, we are looking for innovative ways to increase awareness of what we do, and to engage more people to support their friends and neighbors who may be struggling,” said Tonya Adair, chief People, Equity, and Engagement officer, United Way for Southeastern Michigan. “We are thankful to the community for supporting this unique opportunity to give. Promoted as, “The World’s Biggest Cruise,” the Woodward Dream Cruise (August 20, 2022) draws hundreds of thousands of people for the one-day, family-oriented event.
How the sweepstakes works:
· During the Dream Cruise and online, people can visit UnitedWayRaceToWin.com or text “RACE” to 50503 to enter. By donating any amount, they will be entered into the drawing. The more donated, the more entries people receive.
- Donate $10 = 2 entries
- Donate $25 = 6 entries
- Donate $50 = 15 entries
- Donate $75 = 30 entries
- Donate $100 = 50 entries
Once the cruise is over, a winner will be randomly selected from all entrants and become the grand prize winner.
