Unique women’s fashion boutique opens in midtown detroit

ec2On Thursday, July 7  at noon, a special grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for Elite Couture Boutique will be held to herald in a new wave of fashion and style for midtown and beyond.

Elite Couture Boutique unofficially opened its doors June 1, 2016. The boutique is located at 66 E. Forest in the front corner suite, next to the N’Namdi Center for Contemporary Art. Elite Couture is a women’s fashion boutique specializing in quality, trendy, yet affordable couture ranging from sizes S – 3X. It offers a vast collection of high quality unique jewelry, clothing, handbags and accessories.

Owner LaKeisha Solomon is a native Detroiter who started the boutique years ago. Though securing a building proved challenging, Solomon pressed on and after several years of an online presence, she decided it was finally time for a brick and mortar business.

“I am thrilled to be a part of the resurgence of our great city of Detroit, said Solomon. “There are so many new things happening here and being located in Midtown will give Elite Couture that springboard to success we know is at hand,” said Solomon.

Solomon is also President of “The Daughters of Ruth”, a non-profit organization whose mission is to deliver an exceptional experience in the empowerment of young girls’, to provide guidance, motivation, and emotional support while educating, cultivating and enhancing the growth of young women; and ultimately prepare teens and young adults to make sound choices by educating and mentoring them.

Brief comments from invited dignitaries: Mayor Duggan, Sheriff Napoleon and Council President Brenda Jones will begin promptly at 12:00 p.m. and interviews will be available immediately following.
