The Ecumenical Theological Seminary (ETS) will have its first ever “Festival of Preaching” on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 hosted by Christ Church of Cranbrook, 470 Church Road in Bloomfield Hills. This unique concept will showcase the talents of ETS’ students while sharing the Word of God. The theme is “Preaching Reconciliation to a Polarized World: Student Sermons on II Corinthians 5:11-21”; Rev. Dr. Genetta Hatcher, ETS’ Vice President of Operations will serve as the Master of Ceremonies.
“We are excited to celebrate our students at the Festival of Preaching,” said Rev. Dr. Kenneth Harris, President and Academic Dean of ETS. “We work hard to ensure that our students have all of the tools necessary to teach and preach and to go on to become successful stewards of the Word.”
ETS Masters of Divinity program students participants include:
- Frederick Belk, Senior Pastor at Mount Charity Missionary Baptist Church
- Harold Cadwell Pastor at Transformation Christian Church
- Theron Russell, and
- Nancy Schrier of UCC Pulpit Supply
Rev. Dr. William J. Danaher, Jr., Rector of Christ Church of Cranbrook teaches the Introduction to Preaching class at ETS.
