Tour-de-Troit's Second Annual Cycle Into Spring Event Set for Saturday

 

Tour de Troit will host its Second Annual Cycle Into Spring Bike Ride Event in collaboration ith the Detroit Eastside Community Collaborative to raise money for the Conner Creek Greenway.  The event will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2013 9 am to noon.

 

The ride is approximately 20 miles long from the Detroit River to Eight Mile and back.  More than 400 cyclists have already registered.  Notable sites along the way include the Coleman A. Young International Airport, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, the Milbank Trail, the Chrysler Jefferson North Assembly Plant and Chandler Park.

The route begins and ends at Maheras Gentry Park, Banks of Detroit Riverfront 12550 Avondale, Detroit, Michigan  48215.  Day-of-ride registration is available for $35; t-shirt not guaranteed.  Residents of GGC-adacent zip codes 48213, 48214, 48215, 48205 and 48234) can register day-of for $25.
