Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. is sponsoring the 43rd Annual Area V Leadership Conference which is being held in Detroit, Michigan, April 5-8, 2018 at the Double Tree by Hilton Detroit/Dearborn Hotel. I am Lady Roxyanne Cartier Burrus, National Area V Director in charge of the Leadership Conference being held in Detroit the first weekend in April.
Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. (TLOD), founded in 1964, is a non-profit service organization that has its roots in Tyler Texas. The organization sponsors Top Teens of America and focuses on serving youth and adults. Our programs include working with Senior Citizens, Women, partnering with other like-minded organizations and assisting programs that work towards beautifying America.
In addition to our thrusts, we partner with organizations such as Keep America Beautiful, Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child, Health and Human Development, AARP, St Jude Research Hospital, March of Dimes, The Balm in Gilead, JSD Foundation, the Medgar & Myrlie Evers Foundation and the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America.
TLOD is a national organization with chapters located across the United States. Area V, one of six areas, represents chapters from Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, Kentucky and western Pennsylvania and Michigan. We anticipate that close to 250 people will attend the leadership Conference in Detroit. We are hosting workshops and other awe-inspiring events that weekend and we want to extend an invitation to you to attend our public Community Banquet event on Friday April 6, 2018. We will recognize and thank the local partners in Detroit who work with the TLOD Detroit Chapter on our five major thrusts.
