“We don’t get to low when we lose, or to high when we win,” said J.D. Martinez, following Sunday’s victory. “We just go out there and play hard every day, and whatever happens, happens.”
Tigers manager Brad Ausmus added. “It was good to win two out of three, after losing three out of four to the Yankees,” he said. “We now have a tough road trip staring us in the face.”
The Tigers head out for a 10-game road trip and will play the Minnesota Twins, defending American League Champions, Kansas City Royals, and the Chicago White Sox. The Tigers hit the road with a 13 – 6 record. The team returns to Comerica Park on Friday, May 8 for a three-game series again the Royals.
