Who’s Who In Black is proud to announce the ninth edition of Who’s Who In Black Detroit after a five year hiatus. Veteran public relations expert, Cathy Nedd returns to helm the project as the associate publisher. The issue is scheduled for release February 27, 2020. The publication highlights the achievements of African Americans across a variety of industries as it documents and celebrates those featured in each edition. The theme of the edition is 100 CEOS.
“Over the past five years, there has been so much growth in the city of Detroit; we knew it was time to produce a new edition and highlight the African American CEOs that have built companies or are leading companies that are at the forefront of innovation in Detroit.,” says Dr. Carter D. Womack, chief operating officer, Who’s Who In Black.
Nedd is a 30-year marketing and public relations veteran with extensive experience and expertise in business start-ups and branding. Her passion is taking an idea from concept to reality creating a memorable brand, an impactful web presence, effective promos and events to launch and grow a business. Most recently Nedd was chief operating officer and associate publisher of the Michigan Chronicle. There, she worked with the CEO to reorganize the company, adding niche publications and digital products to the Michigan Chronicle’s offerings. She grew the organization’s annual events to audiences of 1,000+ positively impacting revenue and the company’s presence in the community.
Today, Nedd is a marketing consultant who specializes in digital promotions and web development. Her mission is to help company’s automate processes by doing business online, on their websites. She also works extensively in the energy efficiency field with her primary client, SEEL, LLC, Solutions for Energy Efficient Logistics. At SEEL, she works with senior management to handle the company’s marketing and branding.
